“We take pride in each and every job, whether large or small.”

These have been the hallmarks of Harvey M. Stern & Co. Antique Lighting for more than 35 years. Under the guidance of Harvey M. Stern, the company has maintained a reputation for integrity and excellence in bringing the history and glow of old fixtures back to life. Prior to opening the business, Mr. Stern studied the history of antiques and the best way to silver, brass and gold plate. Old world craftsmen were hard to find, so he decided to offer his expertise and artistry.

The company, located in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia, opened its doors in 1968. The shop specializes in replating and restoring silver, brass and gold lamps, chandeliers, and brass beds. They handle institutional metal finishing, refinishing, repairing and rewiring. They also sell antique light fixtures and lamps and make custom-made brass and glass tables from their showroom.

Harvey M. Stern & Co. serves individuals, but are most proud to have worked with some of the finest decorators and architechts, as well as major historical institutions and buildings in the Philadelphia area and other states. As “satisfied customers,” their word of mouth has been Harvey M. Stern and Co.’s finest advertisers.
